Our Horses
Our horses are either purebred Spanish horses or warmbloods, suitable for all abilities, and trained for hacks and lessons. The horses enjoy a happy and natural lifestyle and live out 24/7 in our many paddocks that have plenty of shade. We currently have one foal and four yearlings, who are enjoying their youth before they are old enough to begin training, as well as two 4-year-old stallions who have just started their training journey. Three very friendly dogs, and a goat who thinks she is a dog, are also part of our large finca family.
Our facilities
As we are situated in such a beautiful area, our hacks leave straight from the finca and can last between 1 and 4 hours. We have two arenas, a 23m x 63m geotextile arena for lessons with one of our trainers where you can put our horses through their dressage paces. Our smaller 20m x 40m fenced arena is suitable for novice riders who may feel more secure riding in an enclosed area. We also have a circular lunging pen where you can watch our trainers work with the young horses.
There are several viewpoints in the finca that we can ride to (or even hike up to if you are a non-rider) with breath-taking views of rolling hills and olive groves as far as the eye can see. A perfect photo opportunity!
The Cortijo has 5 comfortable double bedrooms, 2 of which have ensuites, and the other 3 each with their own private bathrooms. Usually, we are able to provide a private room for each solo traveller, however if a trip is fully booked, you will be roomed with another guest.
There is a kitchen where your meals will be prepared (The food always receives brilliant reviews!) and a large table in the dining area where we will enjoy our meals as a group.
We have a lounge area with comfortable sofas and a large TV where you are welcome to connect to your Netflix account and have a relaxing afternoon or evening. There is no data connection for mobiles but the Cortijo has wifi you can use.
Outside the Cortijo we have a veranda where you can sit with a drink or socialise with the other guests. The veranda overlooks the pool where we have sunbeds you can use to soak up the Spanish sun. We also have a BBQ and seating area which is the perfect place to relax in the evening with a glass of wine.
